A Good Day Shopping & The Spice-Girls Man!
The other day I went shopping with one of my bestest friends and came across a few items - check them out:
#1: "The Notebook"
I saw these sneakers and giggled... they are kinda cool and I know if I had them I would eventually write on them...lol But I'd never buy these things....

#2: An amazing band at the Broadway Lafayette train stop...
These guys rocked the train station! I didn't get the name of the band because my train was arriving but the guy on the right with the pajama pants was an amazing singer.

#3: Spice Girls Man!
I finally made it to the A train - I had to take the F train to the J train to the A train! It was a long commute but I finally made it and as I sat down and made myself comfortable I noticed a man across from me carrying a bag - it was not just any ole' bag. It was a bag with a photo of the spice girls..
Yes....a grown man was carrying a spice girls bag around...and what made it a lil more suspicious - he was with his mother ...
I tried to get a good photo without being too obvious and managed to get a pic of the bag and his shoes.

Wine + Tits = a Merry Christmas
Women are always concerned with their breasts while men can't seem to stop looking at them.
A fellow blogger passed this site to me, the product is meant to be a gag christmas gift but it's so funny and cool
I kinda want one.. just to get me through the cold winter nights.
It's called the "wine rack".

And here is the beer belly - I don't like it as much... but hey...let's all have a happy holiday...lol

Thank you Candice @ The Humans Are Dead
And if anyone would like to purchase "The Wine Rack" check out it's site:

Hater-ation in this dancery...
A friend emailed me a link to this video from mediatakeout (another celebrity gossip website).
The video below shows 2 women fighting at a club. *I know your thinking why would I want to see this but trust me it's worth the 55 seconds. Watch the video all the way to the end to see how different these ladies look once the fight is over.
And I also wonder who was really filming this fight in a club???
Here is a photo of the 2 "hoochie mama's" before the fight (eww):

How to get a man! (uh huh that's right)
I came across this clip on guanabee the other day.
It really made me laugh.
It's titled: "The Art of Meeting Men"
And to think that this video is considered "educational".
*Listen in at 0:16 where this lady in the awful blue dress tells me to
carry around a small stuffed animal to meet new people.... yeah ok..
**And why does the lady waiting for the subway start feeling herself up (0:37)..wtf?
I hope this 90's video helps someone :-/

Stop jacking SNL..
I came across this vid on youtube, it is an SNL digital short and as I listened I kept asking myself
"why does this sound familiar?"
The SNL skit is called: "Jizz In My Pants"
Yeah It's kinda funny and anything with Justin Timberlake makes me giggle but it sounds awfully like Bret and Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords song "Business Time".....
hmmm...
So far I've enjoyed the first season of Flight of The Conchords and I am awaiting the next which starts in January.
But maybe "The Lonely Island" (a group of filmmakers founded in 2001 by Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg who created numerous comedic films, shorts, parody songs, and music videos) will the New Zeland duo a run for their money....
I doubt it though....

Iphone: I heart you
I was trying to resist blogging about my iPhone but I just had to..
I've had it for a month now and I absolutely love this phone.
The battery life sucks but it's okay.
I am constantly on my iphone and I know I have a problem.
But it's okay.
I can go to my favorite websites, twitter, download AND listen to my
favorite podcasts, type out a blog post, watch
a youtube clip while emailing my boyfriend
all at the same time...
well not exactly at the same time.
But it's okay.
This blog is declaring my appreciation for the iPhone and it's cool ways...

Also, check out this awesome coffee table I saw on Gizmodo
I would so want one if it wasn't made out of cardboard.... :'(
And how could they forget the iphone application coasters.... *drool*

What are moobs?
It's a very serious problem.
Moobs are man-boobs.
And if you find yourself wondering: "Is there is any way to control this problem..."
The answer is 'yes'
Thank you jesus for the Japanese and the Men's Premium Brassiere....

You will love Obama forever! Damnit!
I have a new obsession and it's looking for as many tattoo blogs as I can find...
I've always loved looking at tats - so if you guys come across any blogs please send a link my way:
tameekatime@gmail.com
So... I came across this tattoo it's a piece by Ryan Hadley of Studio 13 Creative Skin Design and it's a little too extreme for my liking - it's a tattoo of the soon to be president Barack Obama.
I'm just as proud as everyone else that he will soon be in office but gosh!
A tattoo?

I hate crocs...and you should too
Ok.. many of you have seen people walking around with these funny looking plastic shoes with holes in them.
Don't get me wrong...wear whatever you want to wear but my question to those is: "why"?
Some people say that these slipper/shoe things are comfortable...but the truth is they are not!
And for those of you who do not know what crocs are look below:

Crocs are "started in 1999 as limited footwear in the US. Initially, the company targeted products to water sports enthusiasts, but the comfort and functionality of the products appealed to a more diverse group of consumers who used the footwear for a wide range of activities."
During the summer months, people walk around with these things like they are ready for water sports. They look ridiculous.
I was highly disturbed the other day when I was crusin' through blogs and saw these photos:
Who would wear these at their wedding??!?! omg! isn't your wedding day special? why ruin it?

why!!!
And to top things off....there are winter crocs :'(

The good thing is while I continued my blog stroll, I discovered that I'm not the only person who hates crocs :)

Red Lobster
This weekend I went to Red Lobster with a close friends and his kids.
I was reminded of a few things:
#1) OMG! Why is the wait always so long at the Red Lobster on 42nd Street Times Square?
#2) Is Red Lobster considered ghetto? I can't really say if it is?
#3) Red Lobster has the best biscuits ever!!!!!
#4) Their mixed drinks are awesome - lot's of liquor :)
Ok. I'm not trying to rate Red Lobster but I had to blog about an issue that came about while ordering food.
My friend was speaking to the waitress - placing an order for his kid from the kids menu - he was then told that fruit juice was an extra charge... we both looked at the waitress when she said this.
She re-capped that the kids meals only come with soda's.
Why would the entire drink menu for kids contain every soda in the world and virgin type mixed drinks....
The food comes, the kids are eating and my friend grabs a french fry from one of the kids' plates and omg the turned out to be some salty ass french fries...

shame shame shame Red Lobster..... shame on you :(

3 things that are wrong with this photo....

- The multiple hospital bands Amy Winehouse has on her arm.
- She is wearing high heels and a scarf. These 2 things do not go. You either have a scarf and sneakers - or you have heels and your hair out (even if it's a hott mess)
- The knees of her jeans are strangely dirty

Cult-ish Couture
I was watching tv last night and this ad came on about "The Snuggies Blanket"
I giggled a little bit but after taking a few more looks at this blanket - I noticed that these things look like coats that strange freaky cult members would wear - it also reminds me of those monsters from M. Night Shyamalan's 2004 film; The Village
:/
See for yourself...

Beyonce... are you losing it?
I'm a fan of Beyonce and I have been for years.
But, as of recent I have not been enjoying her music...
she's a fashion diva, a good musician, and an
actress but I think she's losing her touch...
I was home cooking one afternoon and I had the radio on... I started to hear a song
about: "If I were a boy - I would turn off my phone - Tell everyone it’s broken -
So they’d think that I was sleepin’ alone "
Ok... I thought to myself - oh goodness this sounds like Beyonce ,, I hope this is not her...
So I turn up the radio and hear:
"If I were a boy - Even just for a day - I’d roll outta bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted then go - Drink beer with the guys - And chase after girls"
Good God! It was her.
Why is Beyonce singing about being a boy when her whole career is based on "girl power" and one of her biggest hits were "Irreplaceable" a song where she tells a guy she can replace him in a heart beat (You must not know 'bout me - You must not know 'bout me - I can have another you by tomorrow.)
I get the concept of the song and how she wants to know what it's like not to care about what you wear or how it feels to ignore the person you love.
But singing about being a boy does not help unless we get technical and start talking about sex changes. ha!
Check out the video and song:

Oh My Generation "Y"
As everyone knows Barack Obama will be America's first African American president.
There are so many articles stating that the youth of America helped Obama win.
I'm very proud to be apart of a generation (The Y Generation) that helped create change. I am well aware that the world is filled with other African American leaders but this is significant to me. My generation is known for not having culture, not caring about anything, and for being brats.
But what's most important is that we are the generation of technology. And with this we helped transform America.
I was really surprised when I came across an article about an Iphone application based on Barack Obama's campaign.
Iphone applications are: "Web applications — or web apps — that combine the power of the Internet with the simplicity of Multi-Touch technology, all on a 3.5-inch screen."
When Obama was running for President people were able to keep track of the campaign at their fingertips.
In October, "the Barack Obama campaign released an official Iphone app. The app was developed by the iPhoneDevCamp and it is really full featured, especially for an app that was written in just one month and is being offered for free.

Overall this seems to be a great way to get some people into the campaign as it offers everything from calling options to news and videos to local events. Here is a list of the features:
- Call Friends: A great volunteering tool that lets you make a difference any time you want by talking to people you already know. Your contacts are prioritized by key battleground states, and you can make calls and organize results all in one place.
- Call Stats: See nationwide Obama ‘08 Call Friends totals and find out how your call totals compare to leading callers.
- Get Involved: Do more. Find and contact your local Obama for America HQ.
- Receive Updates: Receive the latest news and announcements via text messages or email.
- News: Browse complete coverage of national and local campaign news.
- Local Events: Find local events, share by email and get maps and directions.
- Media: Browse videos and photos from the campaign
- Issues: Get clear facts about Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s plan for essential issues facing Americans."

Shack Attack... drool...
Today a few co-workers and myself decided to have Shack Burgers from the Shake Shack for lunch.
The Shake Shack is a tiny lil restaurant in Madison Square Park in NYC serving hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, and milk shakes and for you vegetarians out there they have awesome shroom burgers :)
The lines are usually very long (a 30-45 minute wait) but these burgers are worth it.
Before you go out and stand on line you can check out the "live shack cam" and see how long the wait will be: http://www.shakeshacknyc.com/
Luckily,, today the line was short due to the rain.
I highly recommend every New Yorker to experience the Shake Shack....
Look at the pics I took while I waited in line for my cheeseburger and fries.

Reality TV - Have we gone too far?
These days I really don't get a chance to watch television and the one time I sit down and flip through some stations I come across the title: "Sex with Mom and Dad"
Right away - I start watching and I think to myself since this is on MTV it has to be some sort of reality show.
It's a half hour show and it's basically a forum for teenagers and their parents to share details about their sex lives.
I think reality TV has gone overboard.
So because MTV says it's okay for you to tell dad that your favorite sexual position is doggy style - is that what other teens must now do?
On the other hand, this may open up better relationships for some families (but not all).
How awkward is it to find out (on national television) that your teenage son or daughter is having unprotected sex in your home?
In the episode I watched a Texas teenager named Tiara revealed that she's been having unprotected sex with her boyfriend for a long time.
The parents cried, the daughter cried, and then a therapist was consulted.
(ohhhh that's so typical right?!)
Later in the episode, the family sat together and shared stories about their sexual past, present, and future :/
Check out this clip from that episode:

Damn.... is it that cold?

The other day I was going through one of my new favorite sites Guanabee.com and I saw this photo of a new Pierre Cardin design.
Pierre Cardin is a French fashion designer and is known for his "space age" style....
This overcoat/bubble/blue-ish 'thing' is just up his alley - what is this? who wears this? why? :'(
Will this actually keep someone warm or is it just a fashion statement? what about your arms? Well it is sorta like a vest..ahhh I don't understand this fashion thing. :( sad day!

Busy Weekendz
On Friday night I met up with some friends at a midtown spot named; Taj Lounge. I've given this place at least 3 tries and I've only had fun once and it was after drinking my very first "Manhattan". The atmosphere is sexy and if you are planning on meeting a special someone for a drink this is the perfect place.
But, if you plan on going with a group of people who just got off of work and is looking for a good time...avoid this place at all costs.

Later that night I attended a release party/signing at a small store in the Lower East Side that sells designer toys called "my-plastic-heart-nyc".
The event was cool and relaxed - there was even a dj spinning; (TwreXX) while every one looked at these well crafted toys and drank Pabst Blue Ribbon. The release party was for artist Marka27's next dope vinyl figure, Killa Instinct. Check out Marka's art - he's great: Marka27
And on Sunday I relaxed :)

My little group could not decide where to go so I suggested having drinks at the South Street Seaport.
We stumbled upon Spiegel World a traveling venue. This turned out to be the perfect party scene - there was a huge liquor bar, plenty of breathing room, a coffee bar, a nice sized dance floor, hammocks facing the water and some freaky show going on between shut doors...it was perfect. I sipped on a cosmopolitan facing the Brooklyn Bridge dancing and just thinking how beautiful it is out. I had a great time. I highly recommend checking out this venue.
On Saturday, I started my day with filming 2 artist Cortesnyc & MeresOne finishing up a wall over at 5 Points in LIC Queens (more photos and a video documenting the process is soon to come)
