The Most Uncomfortable Thing of The Week (1/30/09)

Ok. I support the whole new dance craze scene and for the past few years artist from the south have been all over it.
BUT!!!! I think we all should move on and stop using the same beats and let's try something new.
Check out this video by G-Spot Boys called "Stanky Leg"

Here are my problems with this whole video:

#1 - Why are guys dancing on cars!? (I don't get it)

#2 - Why is a grown ass man dancing on top of some one's house?
a. this is not cute!
b. I bet this guy is standing on his mother's roof and had to wait until she left for work so he could film this scene

#3 - If you are going to be in a music video... (kid in the white shirt at time code 2:52) please put on some sneakers, do not dance in your house slippers!

#4 - Just look at the guy dancing in the purple "outfit" at 3:09 wtf dude? you know there is only one Elephant Man out there and it's not you!!

#5 - arghhh at the whole thing!

The 2 Documentaries I wanna see...

Mike Tyson and Big Daddy Kane both have documentaries coming out this year.
These 2 Brooklyn born guys were household names while I was growing up. I remember my cousin's and I would watch all of the Tyson fights and go wild! We even shared a video cassette of his best knock outs. And ohhh Big Daddy Kane...this rap icon...I remember him being so smooth and so cute. I'd really like to see what these guys are up to now and what they've done w/ allllll that money.

Tyson is a documentary film directed/written by James Toback about the life of former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. The film had a special screening at Cannes Film Festival 2008 and received a standing ovation. It was also screened at The Times BFI 52nd London Film Festival. The film makes its US debut at the currently ongoing Sundance Film Festival. Tyson himself recalls the days when he was nobody and how he rose from the streets, signed a contract to be trained and ended up with phenomenal success as a multi world champion. He shares the stories of both his rise, and his fall. Sony Pictures Classics will release the film in theaters on April 24, 2009.

When it comes to hip hop, there are only a handful of people that truly deserve to be called legends. In BDK, we learn the story of one of hip hop's most notable legends, Big Daddy Kane. From music to fashion, Kane has always been a quintessential figure of the Golden Era of hip hop. In this documentary, directed by Anthony Marshall (co-founder of Lyricist Lounge), Kane talks about his years growing up as a kid in New York, his life in the rap game, his influence on fashion and his lyrical superiority.

Sneeze Porn

I understand that everyone's into different things and there are so many fetishes acknowledged these days but I had no idea that people could get off from watching their partner sneeze.

The real term for "sneeze fetish" is Nose Fetishism. Nose Fetishism is a sexual fetish of the nose. It involves a sexual attraction to the form, appearance, size, shape, of the nostril.

Whoa! During my research I came across this description of Nose fetishism:
"The fetish may manifest itself in a desire for actual physical contact and interaction, or specific fantasies such as the desire to penetrate the nostrils.
Other fantasies may include the desire to observe or experience a transformation of a nose with reference to an element of a fictional work such as Pinocchio, or ideas concerning the transformation of the nose into that of another creatures' like a pig's snout as a means of sexually humiliating a partner or acquaintance. These fantasies may be assisted with use of props, role-play or transformation fiction, in the form of writing, artwork, or modified photographs of people (known as morphing)."

LOL! omg ouch! penetrating the nostril....and it get's better!!!

Here's a screen grab of a fetish group thread called:

Gina from Martin....

So the other day I was having a random conversation about Tisha Campbell better known as Gina from Martin. And someone mentioned that she sang on some show back in the 80s called "Rags to Riches".
So of course I youtube'd the show and boy-oh-boy is Tisha Campbell singing her heart out... I just don't get her awkward facial expressions and I so did not know she was bilingual... enjoy :)

I can't front....I still know every word to "Be Alone Tonight" from Spike Lee's movie "School Daze"

How to fix a tv.

I'm not very handy with things around the house - unless it's in the kitchen.
And it's always great to find out new tips on how to repair the simplest problems but I'm not sure that this is the way to repair a television ..... or maybe it's just me

*And please be sure to turn your speakers up and hear all of the cursing and fighting going on in the background....

I cringed at every lil hit..

Stop eating that .... Crackhead!

For the past few years ... the term crackhead has been used by almost everyone.

The definition of a crackhead is:

crack⋅head/ˈkrækˌhɛd/ Pronunciation [krak-hed]–noun Slang.
a habitual user of cocaine in the form of crack.

We even hear about crackheads from almost every black stand up comic.

I also have to admit that I've called a person or two a crackhead due to their jittery ways.

And I guess the term crackhead is more popular than I expected because the Osmanium Candy Company decided to name one of their products: "Crackheads"

Crackheads is described as "delicious caffeinated goodness"

Crackheads® is a unique and delicious blend of gourmet White and dark chocolate covered espresso beans. Our newest product, Crackheads2® is gourmet 60% cocoa dark chocolate covered espresso bean with a crunchy candy shell with a big caffeine boost added! Gourmet meets functional. Each box of Crackheads2® contains the same caffeine in approximately 6 cups of coffee, 7.5 Red Bull® energy drinks, or 11 cans of Mountain Dew®!.

I know tons of people who can not live without coffee - but damn who really needs to eat a box of candy that equals 11 cans of Mountain Dew....barf!

The Most Uncomfortable Thing of The Week (1/16/09)

I was riding the train the other day and came across these seats...
I remember them from back in the day and what I actually remember is not liking the design of these chairs/seats.

Who can really sit on these? And why are they still around?

Someone needs to remove these chairs from Rockaway BLVD and where ever else they may be.

And to the readers of Tameeka Time - I'll be posting up "the most uncomfortable things" everyyyy Friday!

Hot Chocolate

At work we usually do rips - rips are taking video clips from other sources and mashing them together to tell a story.

During a rip session last week I came across this chocolate commercial from some directors reel.

I watched it through and backed up a bit.... at 00:00:14 the lady in the red dress is facing the camera and whoa! what is that I see?

I wonder - how did this get approved? How did this air on television? This must be some good chocolate!

*I added the captions by the way*

Working during the holiday's

This past Christmas holiday I got a chance to edit with my favorite artist, Chris Cortes.

We managed to complete 3 videos and post them up to YouTube .

AND!!!! I'm very excited that we were able to upload our work.... in High Definition.
(Well 2 of the 3 videos)

It was a great experience to work with Cortes again.
He 's very talented and he has so many great ideas.

What made these videos even more special is that I had the opportunity to film them (I did not film them over the break - this footage was filmed during the summer)
So you guys get to see my shooting

And another great lil tid-bit about these videos - is that all of the music was created by Chris.

Check them out below. Give feedback. Give Shout outs. Show some love. <3
