Kelis is Back!

I am a huge fan of r&b punk/dance musician Kelis. I have all of her albums and I still have "Til the wheels fall off" on my ipod/iphone from her 2006 album Kelis Was Here. She did release a "hits" album in 2008 but the album didn't really go anywhere.
Now that she is seemingly drama free she's finally dropping another album some time this year.

Here first single from the album "Acapella" is said to be about her son is very dance-clubish.
I hope this album which will be titled Flesh Tone lives up to all the others.

Enjoy the video :)

Raisin' Hell

Once again I had the opportunity to film and edit another art video for the multi-talented Christian Cortes.

In this video Cortes interprets famous images from the popular horror film Hellraiser.

This project was even more special because we got a dj involved w/ creating the music for the video.

The featured track was created by Pagan Society. (T-WreXX and 2Nen Bladez)

I mentioned Dj T-WreXX before on posts called Rockin' w/ The Best. He's the producer for the group.

Check out some of their work, they're amazing, they always knows how to get a crowd moving. Dj T-Wrexx Monsta (Pagan Society).

I'm very proud of this video and the production.

I hope you enjoy it.

Also, if you'd like to purchase a poster of this image check out Chris Cortes' online store (Click the image to purchase the poster):

Everybody wants to be Beyonce.

Some of you may know that I do enjoy a good Beyonce song or 2.

And yes I do know all the words to "Single Ladies" and "Naughty Girl"
(Don't judge me)

But look at these 3 boys "workin' it".
I bet they worked hard practicing.
And not to mention the main guy killed it in heels..

Have a peek...

Here's the video of the 3 boys from

and here's a video of Beyonce performing "Naughty Girl" live (not the video these boys are imitating).

Here's my favorite scene of this Beyonce performance... LOL!!

Please DJ

Last night was the premiere of the new music video by Yeyo de la DEY, "Please Dj" (3/15/10) on MTV3s.

The video was directed by Danny Hastings with a quick cameo by none other than artist Christian Cortes.

He is shown painting with some of his artwork.

It's kind of cool to see the finished product of the video,,, after being on the set helping Cortes out.

Big up's to Danny, Yeyo, and Notch.. Great job guys!

Ukraine Appreciates Art... do you?

A dear friend shared this video with me.

I've seen really good sand art in my day but this young lady is a master.

Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who won Ukraine's version of "America's Got Talent." She used a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.

This video is a must see. Finally an audience that appreciates art..
I know it took a lot of preparation and dedication for Kseniya Simonova to win first place in a talent competition.

Tiger Woods Animation

A few years ago I had the pleasure of working along side a talented animator named Jasmina Mathieu.

I've always liked her style and she's a pretty cool lady to chat with.

Check out her short animated piece titled "Tiger's Wood"

You can also see some of her other work on Vimeo.

5 Pointz Video Series (Continued)

Once again, I had the opportunity to document two of my favorite artists Cortesnyc and MeresOne collaborating on a wall.

This time they were joined by another graffiti artist named Phetus.

I remember this day so well. It was very warm, there were film students documenting the wall as well, and there were a few photographers there too.

It was bit crowded but the vibe was really positive and productive.

I would like to thank photographer/graffiti artist Allison Beckman for taking photos of the wall and allowing us to use them in our video.

Check it out.
