Everyone knows that I love social sites and social apps... I recently signed up for a new social site/app.
One that deals with posting photos of food.
It's called "Foodspotting"... I'm totally excited about this one.
It's not like Foursquare where you just post your location, but you actually get to post photos of what your eating and recommend it to people in your area!
I took a screen grab of some food I posted the site... wooohooo!
Today I went to my nearest deli to grab a juice and saw this beverage for the first time... what the hell is "neuro trim" , "neuro bliss", "neuro sleep"
After doing a lil bit of research, "neuro" is another type of energy drink.
These energy drinks are supposed to "increase high level mental functioning: better memory, alertness and concentration." while the "neuro sleep" beverage is said to "promote restful sleep and improve overall sleep quality."
I had a blast last night.... "Cortes.... The Solo Show" was a hit. I would like to thank everyone who showed up. If you missed it, Cortes' art work will still be up for the rest of this coming week.
Last night, while I was walking to class I encountered a man playing the piano and two ladies loving it ....
I heard and saw people posting pictures on their Facebook walls about random pianos around NYC but I never came in contact with one.
This art installation is called "Play me, I'm Yours". And it seems pretty cool. Here's some info if you want to check out some locations. "Play me info"
While I was walking to the bank today I saw these shoes in the Kate Spade store (in Chelsea). These are the ultimate pretty lady princess girl shoes.. All the glitter just made me smile... I didn't even ask how much they were.
Happy Sleepy Monday ya'll. I had such a great weekend. I feel like I wasn't even home. This weekend flew by. I worked late Friday night, I was in Atlantic City on Saturday and on Sunday I went to the Colombian Festival in Queens.
I'm totally sleepy today.. I feel just like this couple...
Today was the annual Colombian Independence Day Festival at Flushing Meadow Park. I had a great time. The food was great and so was the music. I can so see myself going next year.
Today I spent the day in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I had a blast with (3) other friends. It was like a mini-all girls-road trip. The weather was perfect and so was the company. I definitely have to go back to A.C. before the summer ends.
According to all of these other blogs out there one of the most anticipated movies of the Fall is said to be The Social Network...
The Social Network is about the founding of Facebook and the pop culture phenomenon it created.
The release date is October 1st 2010.
Because of the name alone, I know this movie will be a hit.. even if it's not cinematically enjoyable. Everyone will simply want to watch a film about "Facebook"
The latest trailer was released yesterday and this time it's a trailer that actually has footage of the movie in it, unlike the other two trailers that were released...
Check it out... I know I'll be going to the theatres to see this flick.
I was in Burger King the other day because I love those stupid lil Hershey's Sundae Chocolate Pie and I noticed that this Burger King which is located in Flushing Queens (not too far from Flushing Meadow Park) has a mini globe in the restaurant... I thought it was kinda cute
The other day, I had the pleasure of hanging out at 5 pointz for it's official gallery opening. Meres (the gallery coordinator) is displaying a lot of canvas work at the gallery. And some canvas' are for sale. I had a great time. It's open every Saturday afternoon. Be sure to stop by, I promise you'll see some really interesting art.
Today's the day. The final game of the 2010 World Cup. It's down to Spain and Netherlands. As I mentioned before I'm watching the game in Astoria at the Studio Square Beer Garden.
I'm not a huge sports fan in general. I used to love watching NBA basketball games (yes I was a Knick fan) but I gave up on basketball after the late 90's. Things just seemed to have gone sour.
But as of recent, I feel like I've missed out on some good players. One b-baller named Lebron James.
For the past 2 weeks it seems like he's the only basketball player in the NBA.
Why does everyone care so much about what team he's going to?
Is he paying your bills? (yes I'm talking to you,,,)
And I know 1000% about being a fan but good god,,, can this stop?
Can we just let the man decide on where he wants to play!
I am very ashamed at NY for this 30 second spot by Mayor Bloomberg. Tsk Tsk! Major.
Was my hard earned money spend on you hiring someone to shoot that crappy commercial and who did that Lebron king graphic.
STOP IT!
Leave Lebron Alone!
That's my campaign.
By the way.... who do you guys think will end up winning the World Cup? ;-)
Today was a great day! The temperature was perfect outside... I guess the heatwave is finally over... just in time for the final World Cup game this Saturday and Sunday... by the way I'll be watching the game in Astoria at the beer garden if anyone wants to join me... But besides that today I got to enjoy a delicious 1 scoop cone of Plum Crunch custard from the Shake Shack.
I love that place. I think I just love that you can get a burger and some wine in the park.
I do enjoy checking out and trying each months custard flavors. I really want to try the "blueberry custard" ... but it will only happen if I go into the city.. womp!
This month's flavors are:
Monday - Strawberry Pistachio custard Tuesday - Sweet Corn custard Wednesday - Boston Cream Pie custard Thursday - Plum Crunch custard Friday - Mud pie custard Saturday - Blueberry custard Sunday - Peaches n' Cream
Today I managed to watch the later half of the World Cup match between Germany and Spain. I'm pretty shocked that Germany lost. Statistically they were supposed to win. I guess you can never predict a winner. Congrats to all of Spain's fans.
Today I had a busy morning for some reason, I went to work, ran some errands, and ended up in a gorgeous park kicking around a soccer ball and playing frisbee.
Who would have thought of delicate lil Tameeka Time being active lol
*no one took a photo of me, so I'm using a pic of my lil friend Ayden :)
Meet my 2 new best friends. Mr. Sudafed and Mrs. Tissue Box... I came back from the Bahamas w/ some weird ear fluid situation... I'd like it to go away ... RIGHT NOW ....
