I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Here's the latest video I put together....

It features artist CortesNyc painting a commissioned wall for a photo shoot.

The photo shoot was done by Christian Lantry and Edwin Jimenez for gospel singer Tye Tribbett.

I had a great time shooting and editing this video. It's pretty straight forward and I even added some footage of the actual photo shoot.

Check it out!

Ohhhhh ..... there's a Tameeka Time surprise in the beginning ..... :-D

*** Big shout out goes to TwreXX Monsta and Berman Fenelus for the music track! and Edwin Jimenez for the photos ***

Please DJ - Part 2 - Follow up post

Here's another NEW video by CortesNyc and myself.

Back in 09' Cortes was asked to paint during a scene of rapper Yeyo's video shoot of "Please Dj".

I mentioned the video and shoot in an old blog post titled "Please DJ" (you can check out the official music video by clicking the previous link).

I had a blast filming the shoot and I can't forget the guy who helped me out that night big time, John Smalls! He helped me film some really good up high shots.

Some kid got 'Urkeled'

If you follow me on twitter, you may have seen me ranting about how I just can't understand why boys and men walk around with their pants sagging below their derriere...

I just don't get it, I never got it.
I don't think it's cool or hip.
And I don't care if I sound like an old lady.
But why would you want your ass hanging out?

What's the pleasure in it?

What if you need to run for the train or hurry up while your crossing the street...

Well a principal in Memphis agrees with me and has started "Urkeling" boys.

Urkeling is basically pulling up a kids pants and tying them on each side until they look like the character Steve Urkel from the sitcom Family Matters...

I think this is genius... this should be done in New York schools too....

Food Time - Stew Mission

Ever since the holidays started, well... ever since it started getting cold out, I've been on a mission to make hearty soul comforting meals.

I've noticed that most of my big meal making happens on Sundays.

A few weeks ago after I purchased a new Martha Stewart Cobalt Blue Cast Iron Casserole Pot and ever since then, I've been on a stew mission.

My first stew exploration was an Old Fashion Beef Stew... I used a recipe from SoGood TV (click on the link to check out the video)

It was pretty simple to make this dish, and I made just enough so I could have left overs the next night.

The first night, I served the beef stew over white rice, I added a few sliced tomatoes on the side and topped it off with some fresh baked bread from a local Colombian bakery.

The second night, I served the beef stew over white rice again but this time as a side dish I made platanos asados con queso or baked ripe plantains with cheese (I didn't use a recipe to make the platanos asados con queso, I've seen a few people make it and decided to give it a try). It's pretty simple... just take a ripe platano, peel it, butter it up, bake it for 20 minutes or so, take it out of the oven, slice it down the middle, add some mozzarella cheese and put it back in the oven for about 10 minutes.

It's warm, sweet, cheesy and delicious.

Platanos Asados con Queso =

I'm still on my stew kick, so the other night I made chicken stew. I served the chicken stew over white rice, and the sides were fried plantain and a avocado.

Chicken Stew over white rice and fried plantain =

I put together a little slide show of all the ingredients I used in making the two stews.

Your pictures and fotos in a slideshow on MySpace, eBay, Facebook or your website!view all pictures of this slideshow

I can't wait to try out more hearty stews, casseroles, and chili's in the next few weeks.
