My last days of SXSW

I returned to my humble little apartment in Astoria on Tuesday March 15th.

My first flight was at 6am, which meant I had to be at the airport an hour or two before. I headed to Chicago and from Chicago I was NYC bound.

I do not remember much about either flights -- I slept the entire way.

Mostly because I left the club my friends were at around 2am, went back to the hotel, napped for 10 minutes and then headed to the airport. *I told one of my friends and she said "oh how Lindsay Lohan of you."

South by South West Interactive was an amazing experience.

It's been about two weeks and I'm still reliving the fun.

I thought I'd be instantly inspired to come back and blog my heart out but I've been sitting back and enjoying myself and planning my next moves.

I have to organize what I need to do for my career on the internet and for myself as a blogger.

I made some great connections in Texas and got a lot of free swag on the way out.

I do plan on going next year -- I hope to see some of you there : )

Here are a few photos from my last days.

I will create an album on facebook as well.

SXSW - Day 3

Day 3 in Texas:

I woke up after only having 3-4 hours of sleep.

I went to a Cinnamon roll birthday party ...

Got a free cup of coffee from some nice people on the street....

Ran over to the convention center and went to a panel on video editing...

Stopped by Screenburn Arcade to test out the new Mortal Kombat video game and see Mike Tyson (It was so packed, I didn't get to see him) but I saw his mascot.

Charged up....

Hugged a monkey....

So did Patrice...

I went to another panel... This one was called "what I didn't learn in film school".

After that, I took a pic with one of the guys from Current TV's show InfoMania.

I then picked up my new iphone 4 from the Zazzle station. The artwork is by artist Christian Cortes (

I was super excited about that case. I can't even explain it!

And now I'm about to take a disco nap because a few of us were lucky enough to have some delish bbq sponsored by MapQuest. They took us to eat bbq by bus! It was beautiful!

We got free beer, cobbler, and heard some music by
shinobi ninja.

SXSW - Day 2

I'm in love everyone!

And it's with Texas.

Here's my day 2 at south by south west so far:

I woke up to this:

I met up with one of my oldest friends, Samantha Lopez. It's been forever since I've seen her. It was so great catching up with her.

She introduced me to the egg/steak quesadilla and the honey/milk espresso.

I missed her so much!

I then proceeded to get a oatmeal cookie-ice cream sandwich...

... at the Freshbooks birthday party

I bumped into blogger Nichelle..

saw some clowns....

And took a picture with a zombie lady.

I met back up w/ Sam and Patrice and got some free sandwiches and I got a Tecate - I haven't had one in awhile

Then I had one of the best steak and pulled pork tacos ever!!!

And so it continues....

Goodbye Nashville

Right when I started boarding for my next flight.

The music started...

Maybe next time I'll be able to grab a beer & listen to some live music at Tootsies Orchid Lounge

On my way..

I just had breakfast. I'm wide awake and I still have time to kill.

I'm sitting in Nashville's airport waiting for my 11am flight to Austin, Texas.

I've been up since 3am and I'm doing fine.

This is my first time traveling with Southwest Airlines and the next time I travel w/ this airline I'll be sure to dish out the extra cash to get the first set of seats.

They separate seating in groups (Group A, B, & C).

It's an open seating policy and group A goes first, group B grabs seats, then finally group c.

I was apart of group c and I got stuck with a middle seat lol

The individuals next to me were so polite but while I tried to nap, my neck felt like it would fall off at any moment.

Oh, I did bump into Bill Plympton while I waited for my flight.

He's always a great guy to chat with.

He's going to be busy this week, he's got a screening, book signing & he's holding a panel.

Hopefully I'll be able to check out his panel tomorrow.

So that's all for now.

My next post will be from Texas ;)
